The Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) has just announced the release of November 2015 Ordinary Level result. The results will be available for those who sat for examinations to start collecting results from their respective schools or centers tomorrow, 10 February 2016.
The national pass rate (that is grade C or better ) is 27.86%
A total of 156,418 school candidates sat for the O’Level exams in November 2015 and of these 43,581 managed to pass, hence the 27.86% pass rate. The pass rate is an improvement from the 2014 pass rate of just 22,38%.
Commenting on the results, ZIMSEC Director, Mr Esau Nhandara said, “Generally, candidates performed better in the November 2015 examinations as compared to the previous year. One of the factors associated with the increase in performance is the provision of educational textbooks and Science kits in 2011 and 2012 through the Education Development Fund (EDF). However, other factors that influenced better performance could be established through research.”
