As the wishful news of Eritrean mean being ordered to marry two women or face jail spread in late January 2016, there were a number of people who either ‘fell’ for it while others could see that it was a hoax through and through. The incident was a lot similar to how the internet woke up one day to hearing that our beloved president had suffered a heart attack and died.
So to those that made preparations, or that are still in the process of, calm down, the story is a lie and there is no such thing going on.
However, out of it came a number of posts, tweets, chats on WhatsApp, etc all with people giving their take (and sometime next move) after hearing the news. Here are the best that we’ve managed to see so far:

In Eritrea, marry at least 2 wives or go to jail. Not surprised this is coming from a place known as the Horn of Africa.
